Forez en couleur was a project made with Iris Coskun. We designed a proposition of paintings covering the walls of a staircase and two floors of a building. One of the aims of the project was to promote the urban landscape of the region of Saint-Étienne.
We decided to focus on two aspects of Saint-Étienne's identity: its topography and the iconic buildings of the city.
We unfolded a topological map of the city on the walls, where we placed stylized representations of the architecture. The names of places are represented with fonts filled with altering patterns and a vibrant color palette, selected with the intention of visually warming the site displaying the artwork.
